The eggbutt snaffle has solid side pieces, ensuring a stable fit in the corners of the horse's mouth. The side pieces measure approximately 60mm x 80mm. Because the rings do not move freely from one another, the rein aids are applied directly. The eggbutt snaffle sits securely in the mouth and is therefore suitable for horses with restless or sensitive mouths and horses that tend to break out over the shoulder. The outer side pieces of the eggbutt snaffle create a contact area that facilitates turns and restricting the outside rein. Eggbutt snaffles should be chosen half to one size smaller.

The slightly curved 12mm bar distributes pressure evenly with this bar bit, with slightly higher pressure at the edges of the tongue. A bar bit should primarily be used by sensitive and experienced riders.
