The double-jointed anatomical loose ring snaffle from Harry's Horse is the perfect solution for both direct contact and a mouth-friendly bit for your pony or horse. Thanks to its anatomical shape, the double-jointed bit sits more comfortably in the horse's mouth, preventing a nutcracker effect.
This loose ring snaffle features loose, movable rings with a diameter of approximately 65 mm. Most horses respond well to this type of bit due to its position on the bars and tongue. The loose rings allow the rider's rein aids to be applied indirectly.
The double-jointed bit consists of three pieces located in the horse's mouth, each with a bit thickness of 16 mm. The middle piece of the bit rests on the tongue, exerting more pressure on the tongue than a single-jointed bit.
It's especially important to choose the correct size for a double-jointed bit. If the bit is too large, there's a risk that the joints will touch the corners of the mouth, causing injury to the horse.
Made of high-quality stainless steel. Bit thickness 14 mm.
