Double-broken Harry's Horse loose ring snaffle with apple flavor, which is well received by horses.
This loose ring snaffle features loose and movable smaller rings with a diameter of approximately 70 mm. Most horses respond well to this type of bit due to its position on the bars and tongue. The loose rings allow the rider's rein aids to be applied indirectly.
The double-jointed bit consists of three pieces that rest in the horse's mouth, each with a bit thickness of 16 mm. The middle piece of the bit rests on the tongue and therefore exerts more pressure on it than a single-jointed bit. It is especially important to choose the correct size with a double-jointed bit. If the bit is too large, there is a risk that the joints will touch the corners of the mouth, thus injuring the horse.
The Apple Bits feature a soft, apple-flavored mouthpiece and a stainless steel core for maximum strength. These bits are ideal for horses that have difficulty accepting other materials.
No guarantee is given against the biting of plastic-coated bits. A correctly fitted bit rests on the bar. There are no teeth in this area of the jaw. If the bit is correctly positioned in the mouth, it will not come into contact with the teeth. Some horses, for example, may have a dental problem and chew the bit or push it upwards with their tongue, causing it to reach the teeth. This can damage the plastic material. ePony Reitsport does not reimburse the cost of damaged plastic bits with bite marks.
