The new LeMieux ProIce Freeze Boots provide targeted ice-cold relief for tendons and joints after training or other physical exertion. The foil lining effectively insulates and prolongs the cooling effect, while the soft mesh lining protects the skin from freezing and allows for maximum cold transfer. The unique Hypo-Freeze gel remains soft and contours to the lower extremities to ensure maximum surface contact with tendons and joints. Regular use of ProIce Boots for short periods (20 to 30 minutes) after intensive training is a preventative measure. The sooner the tendon temperature can be reduced after work, the better. This applies to high-intensity dressage, cantering, jumping, and eventing.
Please note: The ProIce Freeze Therapy Boots come in a set of two. Each set contains two boots! Suitable for both front and hind legs.
Material: Polyester 35%, Nylon 35%, Neoprene 30%
Application:
Place the cooling boots and Hypo-Freeze gel inserts in the freezer for at least 4 to 6 hours or overnight before use. In severe cases, use in short sessions of 20 to 30 minutes, several times a day. Insert the ice-cold Hypo-Freeze gel inserts into the mesh pockets. Press firmly on the gel until it softens and conforms to the horse's leg. Ensure the boots are securely closed, but not too tight. The ProIce Freeze Boots can be used on both the front and hind legs.
Using ProIce Boots can prevent the occurrence of local swelling and heat. The purpose of using cold is to interrupt the cycle of the inflammatory response before it causes cellular damage.
