Every season presents its own challenges in horse care. Leovet has found answers to these challenges, helping riders optimize their pony and horse care routines.
The SOS Skin Care Shampoo is the first step in the SOS care series from leovet. It cleanses and prepares your pony's or horse's stressed skin, hair, and long hair for a rich treatment with SOS Skin Care Lotion or SOS Skin Care Ointment. It removes encrustations, scabs, dirt, and grass residue.
For well-groomed, clean horse skin, coat and long hair.
The Peruvian balsam, a traditional natural resin, has been used for skin care for centuries and is known for its proven properties.
Application: Apply the SOS Skin Care Shampoo to the areas of your pony or horse's skin that you want to care for and cleanse with the shampoo. Massage the SOS Skin Care Shampoo in and rinse thoroughly with water. When using sponges, ensure exceptional hygiene. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and open wounds. Wash hands thoroughly after use. The first step in the leovet SOS care series is complete!
ePony Tip: Combine the leovet SOS Skin Care Shampoo with the leovet SOS Skin Care Lotion and the leovet SOS Skin Care Ointment for optimal care results for your pony or horse. Maintain good stable hygiene and regularly clean your brushes, curry combs, and textiles in the stable.

More health for your horse - naturally mineral oil-free
Dr. Ulf Jacoby founded the horse care product company leovet in 1982. This was preceded by a license to practice pharmacy in 1966, a doctorate in 1969, and a leading role in research for the pharmaceutical industry. When he took over his parents' pharmacy in Lahnau and simultaneously began his own horse breeding and competition riding business, his own interest in horse care products grew, as did that of his customers. His specialization in horse care products was based on the principle: "More health for the horse - less work for the rider." Development and production still take place at the Lahnau site today. The care range currently includes 60 products that are popular and well-known throughout Europe. Apothekers Original Horse Ointment Gold has also been sold in German pharmacies since 2004.
Leovet’s recipe for success:
- Effective horse care at the highest level
- Innovative products and the use of raw materials and active ingredients in pharmaceutical quality
- Development, Marketing, Expansion
- Highly motivated and reliable employees
