The fur color light yellow is also called natural color, because it actually corresponds to the fur color of lambskin. This neutral lambskin color matches all Stübben leather colors such as black, ebony, and tobacco. Light yellow is especially suitable for ponies and horses with light coat colors, such as grays, duns, and pintos, as the lambskin does not stain.

Compatibility with Stübben Equi-Soft® Girths

The Stübben Equi-Soft® Pad by Mattes, made of high-quality Australian lambskin in light yellow, is the second component of the Stübben Equi-Soft® Girth. The Mattes lambskin pad is attached to the girth using the Stübben Velcro system, which comes standard on all Equi-Soft® Pads and connects them to the Equi-Soft® Girth. This allows you to flexibly decide which material and color you want for your Equi-Soft® Girth. The Equi-Soft® Girth can only be used with an Equi-Soft® Pad. The Stübben Equi-Soft® Lambskin Pad by Mattes is compatible with all Equi-Soft® Girths in long and short versions, as well as the Equi-Soft® Western Girth. The Equi-Soft® Stud Guard Girth is excluded from this.

What size do I need for the Equi-Soft® Lambskin Pad by Mattes?

Choose the same length as your Equi-Soft® Girth (40–45 cm or 50–150 cm).
Example: If you need the Equi-Soft® Girth length 75 cm for your horse, then you should choose the Equi-Soft® Pad size 50-150 cm.

How do I attach the Stübben Equi-Soft® Pad to the Stübben Equi-Soft® Girth?

• Step 1: Lay the girth flat - Lay the girth with the Velcro side up on a flat surface.
• Step 2: Position centrally - Align the central Velcro strip of the pad with the Velcro of the girth so that all edges are completely covered.
• Step 3: Attach sides - Slightly lift the side parts of the girth and firmly press down the side Velcro areas of the pad. The girth will automatically take its anatomical shape once the pad is correctly attached.

Please note: To use the Stübben Equi-Soft® Lambskin Pad by Mattes, you need a matching Stübben Equi-Soft® Girth. This must be purchased separately to be able to use the Stübben Equi-Soft® Lambskin Pad.

Care Instructions for Long-Lasting Quality

Care instructions: Machine washable at 30 °C (extra rinse cycle recommended), ideally with Mattes MELP detergent. Air dry or tumble dry at a low temperature – never with heat or in direct sunlight. For frequent use, it is recommended to use several pads alternately to ensure complete drying.
