Trust Bit Sweet Iron D-Ring Bridle double broken with brass rings

Double-broken, anatomical Trust Equestrian D-ring bridle made from Sweet Iron material, which naturally stimulates saliva production.

The D-ring bit has solid side pieces, ensuring a secure fit in the corners of the horse's mouth. The side pieces measure approximately 70mm x 90mm. Because the rings do not move freely from one another, the rein aids are applied directly. The D-ring bit sits securely in the mouth and is therefore suitable for horses with restless or sensitive mouths and horses that tend to break out over the shoulder. The outer side pieces of the D-ring bit create a contact area that facilitates turns and restricting the outside rein. D-ring bits should be chosen half to one size smaller.

The double-jointed bit consists of three pieces that rest in the horse's mouth, each with a bit thickness of 16 mm. The middle piece of the bit rests on the tongue and therefore exerts more pressure on it than a single-jointed bit. It is especially important to choose the correct size with a double-jointed bit. If the bit is too large, there is a risk that the joints will touch the corners of the mouth, thus injuring the horse.

The Brass Rings consist of three movable brass rings designed to encourage the horse to chew more and give the horse something to "play" with in its mouth. This creates a more harmonious interaction between rider and horse, and the horse becomes more receptive to the rider's aids.

The Trust Sweet Iron bit develops surface rust through contact with (atmospheric) moisture. This has a sweet taste and naturally stimulates saliva production. This causes the horse to foam more, which in turn leads to better acceptance of the bit. The Sweet Iron acquires its beautiful deep blue color by being briefly heated during production. Due to the rusting process (oxidation), the blue color of the Trust bits turns brownish-gray over time. If a Sweet Iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown layer of rust can form on the mouthpiece. This layer can be easily wiped off with a damp cloth. Of course, the surface rust is not harmful to the horse.

All Trust bits are anatomically shaped and crafted for the modern horse's mouth, ensuring a perfect fit. Each Trust Equestrian bit is 100% handmade in the Netherlands . All components are welded and polished by hand. The finishing touch is provided by the hand-hammering of the size stamp and brand name.

Delivery includes a towel for easy storage of the Trust dentures.
